So far, this country has been lacking on ice cream stores. In Nashville, we hit up Mike's Ice Cream, which was pretty good. They had a sign up front that read "Every time you don't tip, a child gets a mullet." Obviously, a tip was given. In Oklahoma City we got ice cream from Marble Slab Creamery, which was similar to Coldstone. It was great. Last night, we were at this super earthy-crunchy all organic restaurant in Santa Fe & we ordered mint ice cream for dessert. It was unreal. We assumed it was home made because it tasted more like actual mint than anything we'd ever had. I think they crushed up mint leaves in it, resulting in quite possibly the taste of heaven. Santa Fe has been a pretty interesting place, although it poured earlier today once we left the Georgia O'Keefe museum and walked through an art show. Coming into New Mexico last night was incredible, as we watched the sun set over the purple mountains. Before we got to NM, we drove through Texas and contributed to the very cool graffiti wasteland that is formally known as Cadilac Ranch. We're headed to the Grand Canyon tomorrow, and hopefully there will be more ice cream along the way to put to the test.
